Every tonne holds gold that someone decided was unrecoverable. We go and check.
Vision
To be the technical partner mining operations trust across the whole value chain — where what is planned in the pit, blasted at the face and recovered in the plant is engineered as one connected system rather than four separate departments.
Mission
To create measurable value from mine to mill: planning and blasting ore the plant can actually treat, commissioning and optimising the circuits that treat it, supplying the consumables that keep them running, and developing the people who operate them — safely, compliantly, and to a standard our clients can audit.

Where we fit
Follow the ore from the pit to the tailings facility. Select a unit operation to see the scopes MynMet delivers there.
Area of expertise 01
From planning to production excellence.
Strategic and operational mining solutions that optimise resource extraction, improve productivity, reduce costs and maximise asset value throughout the mine life cycle.
Key services — select to expand
Value propositionPractical engineering solutions that transform geological resources into safe, efficient, compliant and profitable mining operations.
Area of expertise 02
Throughput, recovery and reliability.
Metallurgical expertise and process optimisation solutions that enhance throughput, recovery, reliability and overall plant performance across the mining value chain.
Key services — select to expand
Testwork is run to a written programme with a defined objective, and reported so the result can be defended in a study review. Turnaround and pricing are quoted per campaign once sample mass and assay suite are confirmed.
| Test | Question it answers |
|---|---|
| Bottle roll cyanidation | What gold recovery, cyanide consumption and leach residence time should the flowsheet be designed around? |
| Tank leach / CIL simulation | How does the ore behave with carbon present, at plant density and agitation? |
| Preg-robbing test | Is carbonaceous material stealing dissolved gold back out of solution before it reaches the carbon? |
| Diagnostic / sequential leach | Where is the unrecovered gold locked — sulphides, silicates, or already free and simply under-leached? |
| Bond rod & ball mill work index | How hard is the ore, and is the mill sized correctly for the planned throughput? |
| Carbon activity test | Is the carbon in the adsorption circuit still working, or is it time to regenerate or replace? |
| Flocculant selection | Which flocculant and dose gives the settling rate and overflow clarity the thickener needs? |
| Rheology test | Can the tailings or concentrate actually be pumped at the design density? |
| Solvent extraction testwork | Which reagent system and circuit configuration suit the leach liquor? |
| Sampling audit | Are the plant samples representative — and is the metallurgical balance therefore trustworthy? |
| Cyanidation optimisation study | What combination of grind, pH, dissolved oxygen and cyanide strength gives best recovery per dollar of reagent? |
| Assay & metallurgical laboratory set-up | What equipment, methods, QA/QC protocol and staffing does a site laboratory need to produce data you can rely on? |
ObjectiveImprove plant safety, throughput, recovery, reliability and operational efficiency through practical metallurgical, process engineering, commissioning and operational excellence solutions aligned with international mining industry best practice.
Area of expertise 03
Reliable supply. Continuous production.
Critical mining and mineral processing consumables, equipment and technical products, delivered through reliable and cost-effective supply chain solutions.
Key services
ObjectiveKeep production continuous by removing supply as a source of downtime — one vendor, one purchase order, one point of contact.
Area of expertise 04
Developing world-class mining professionals.
Developing mine engineers, metallurgists, operations supervisors and plant operators to international industry standards through structured technical, operational and leadership development programmes.
Key services
ObjectiveDevelop highly competent, safety-focused and performance-driven mining professionals capable of operating and leading world-class mining and mineral processing operations.
When a plant misses plan, the argument usually runs on instinct. We settle it with sampling that is representative, a balance that reconciles, and testwork aimed at the actual question — then we stay on site until the numbers move.
Projects
The MynMet team comprises specialists in mining, mineral processing, hydrometallurgy and operations management, supporting both new and existing plants. Typical engagements look like this.
Risk assessments per circuit, start-up sequencing, operator log sheets and control philosophies delivered ahead of first ore, then engineers on shift through ramp-up.
Survey the circuit, close the mass balance, find where recovery and tonnes are being lost, and hand back a costed list of actions ranked by payback.
Specify, equip and commission an assay or metallurgical lab, write the methods and QA/QC protocol, and train the technicians who will run it.
A short written scope with deliverables, the engineer assigned, and a fixed price or day rate. No mobilisation before you have signed it.
Our engineers work from your control room and plant floor, to your site induction and safety rules, alongside your metallurgists rather than around them.
Models, spreadsheets and procedures are handed over unlocked and documented, with training, so the improvement survives our demobilisation.
On site
Pit, plant and laboratory. Our engineers spend their time in all three, because a recovery problem is rarely solved from only one of them.

Our company
MynMet Engineering and Technical Services is a full metallurgical and mining consulting firm specialising in mine start-up and commissioning support, a wide range of metallurgical testwork, and outsourced engineering solutions. Established in 2014, we support clients across a broad variety of operations, and our senior management team is made up of individuals with extensive expertise in mining, metallurgical and mineral process engineering.
We are deliberately independent. We do not sell a proprietary flowsheet, we are not tied to an equipment vendor, and we have no incentive to recommend a capital solution where an operating one will do. Our engineers travel to the circuit, work to the site's rules and the client's standards, and report what the data says.
We mobilise to mining operations internationally for commissioning, audits, testwork and troubleshooting campaigns. Our head office is in Accra and our engineers travel to site for the duration of a scope — the work happens on your plant, not in ours.
Gold and silver, with a particular specialisation in cyanide metallurgy, carbon-in-leach and carbon-in-pulp circuits. We also support base metal operations.
Mobilisation is agreed in the written scope before anything is signed. Where an engineer is already in the region this is usually days. For long-haul mobilisations it depends on visas, medicals and your site induction requirements, and we confirm the date up front rather than discovering it later.
Yes. Grinding media for ball and SAG mills, laboratory equipment and glassware, laboratory-grade chemicals and reagents, PPE and process plant spares — on the same vendor account as the consulting work, which means one purchase order instead of five.
Testwork is quoted per campaign once sample mass, assay suite and objective are confirmed. Email the ore description and the question you need answered, and we will return a written scope and a price.
Our people
MynMet is led by specialists who have run the circuits they now advise on. Every scope is owned by one of them from kick-off to close-out — you know who is accountable before you sign.

Careers
We hire metallurgists, mine engineers and laboratory technicians, and we put them on real circuits early. If you want plant time rather than desk time — commissioning, testwork campaigns, sampling audits — send a CV and tell us which circuit interests you most.
Contact
Value leaks in the space between the two — a blast designed for the digger rather than the mill, a grind size nobody reconciled against recovery, a balance that never closed. Tell us what the pit is delivering and what the plant is doing with it, and a senior engineer — not a sales desk — replies within one working day with a scope and a price.
